In rotation, participants will learn the different roles: boat/crew command and management, shifts and guards, rudder, sail trim. After mooring, a de-briefing will take place and the surrounding area will be explored. While sailing, the students will be able to appreciate the sea, enjoy breathtaking anchorages and will also have free time to explore the various villages and restaurants in the area.

Tour Plan

Day 01 Phuket - Yacht Haven Marina, Thailand

shopping for groceries, introduction to the course, and in the evening a free trip to the centre of Phuket.

Day 02 Ice Cream cave - Ko Tapu (James Bond island) (5nm)

Preparation for the outing, explanation of the main safety rules, preparation for unmooring and introduction to rigging sails.

Towards lunchtime, there will be a lesson on gaits and sail setting.

We will have lunch at the Ice Cream Cave, and after the break and a nice swim we will resume our educational activities and do the introduction to preparing the boat for the roadstead.

The overnight stop will be near the island of James Bond.

Day 03 Pnyee island - Mankei bay - Lao Landing Island (10 nm)

Breakfast and we set anchor, wheeling participants will begin to steer towards our destination while the crew learns and adjusts the sails according to the pace.

After our lunch in the roadstead, participants will take turns learning how to manage the crew. We will go ashore at Mankei bay where we will have dinner and then return to the boat to spend the night.

Day 04 Nok Island - Hong Island - Koh Pakbia (15nm)

Introduction to reading nautical charts and setting the instruments on board, we go ashore to visit the island, after lunch a free day, we return to the boat to spend the night.

Day 05 Mai Thon Island - Ko racha Ya - Banana Bay (20nm)

Introduction to meteorology and analysis of forecasting software, navigation and stop in the early afternoon, rest of the day free.

Day 06 Phi Phi Island - Loh Lania Bay - Monkay bay (10nm)

Introduction to weather-based routing with way point integration using on-board computer systems.

In turn, participants will set the course, sail to the afternoon anchorage in the roadstead, rest of the afternoon free.

Day 07 Wang Long Bay - Phuket Marine Re-entry

All participants will take part in the navigation, a day dedicated to reviewing towards the return to the marina.

Once there, aperitif offered.
